Jurien Bay Boat Harbour Infrastructure Upgrade

Divergent Engineering was engaged to undertake the design of the electrical infrastructure upgrade at Jurien Bay Boat Harbour. The primary objective of this project was to enhance reliability, safety and cost efficiency by replacing the end-of-life cycle assets such as 33kV pole top isolators, reclosers and ring main units at the site. This encompassed a comprehensive power system study including protection studies and coordination, earthing design, HV switchgear selection and development of HV submission document to Western Power.

Our key deliverables included:

  • Power system study, including fault analysis and grading with Western Power -40 hours turnkey completed within allocated timeframe
  • Review of the LV and HV network protection, grading and controls, taking into consideration of the energy generators
  • Evaluate earthing protection system
  • Submission of HV design proposal to Western Power – 34 hours turnkey completed within allocated timeframe.
  • All design drawings and further specifications with 100% design report
  • Commissioning Result Review and ITP signoff
